The purpose of the CMHA Connects website is to enable staff and volunteers of the Canadian Mental Health Association and invited community partners to exchange information, collaborate on projects and learn from each other within communities of practice. Through an open exchange of accurate and timely information, all stakeholders can contribute to the planning and development of an effective community mental health and addictions system.
CMHA Connects community members who register for a user account must agree to the following Terms of Use:
Registered users must provide a valid e-mail address and complete a user profile, including full name, job title, organization, and a user profile, prior to having their user account activated. User profiles are accessible to all registered users and are linked to from the Members directory.
All registered user accounts must be approved by the website administrator. The administrator reserves the right to refuse any registration request or cancel any user account without prior notice in accordance with website policies.
Registered users will be identified as the author of any comment they publish on the CMHA Connects website. Their comments will be linked to their user profile, which is viewable by all registered users. Anonymous commenting is not permitted.
E-mail addresses of registered users will not be shared in the user profile. However, any registered user may be contacted by any other registered user by e-mail via an online contact form. By using this site, you acknowledge that CMHA is not responsible for the nature or frequency of contact by registered users.
CMHA Ontario welcomes and encourages information exchange and commentary on all topics related to mental health and addictions. By using this website, you agree to restrict your comments to pertinent matters.
All users will engage in constructive information-sharing and dialogue, based on mutual respect. Inappropriate or offensive language, comments that are abusive, threatening, defamatory or libelous, or attacks, ad hominem or otherwise, on fellow posters will not be tolerated. Should you engage in this behaviour or otherwise violate the rights of other posters, CMHA reserves the right to pursue any and all remedies available, including, without limitation, deleting your comments and/or restricting, suspending or terminating your access to this site, without explanation, prior notice or liability.
